Atlante delle Terre is a project in development that investigates the relationship between art and science. The artist Augusto Gadea uses geological sediments sampled from different parts of the world and pre-industrial painting techniques to build a visual poetics centered on the earth.

The atlas is realized in collaboration with the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), establishing a dialogue in which materials derived from scientific research become the foundation of an exploration linked to the sensitivity of the Earth.
Stages of the journey • Tyrrhenian Sea stage – Sulcis / Sant Antioco (Sardinia, 2025):Permanent exhibition of the works “Non Terrae Plus Ultra” and “Sogno della Signora Grazia” inside the Villaggio Ipogeo in the Sant’Antioco Archaeological Park. Curated by Ottovolante Sulcis and funded by the Fondazione di Sardegna. • Round table (Bologna, 2024): Conference titled Atlante delle Terre. Material sensitivity between scientific research and pictorial poetics, held within the framework of "SlowScience", with the participation of CNR researcher Luca Bellucci, philosopher Raffaele Milani, and the artist. • Nel mezzo della terra (Bologna, 2023): First stage of the project, hosted at the Biblioteca Dario Nobili of the CNR Territorial Research Area in Bologna.
